Removing what should not be sent
Most documents that need trimming are not broken, just longer than the situation
calls for. A scan with a cover sheet and blank reverse sides. A statement where
only the current quarter is relevant. A report with an internal appendix that
should not leave the building. Delete Pages removes those pages and gives you the
rest as a clean file.
Choosing from thumbnails
Every page appears as a thumbnail, and you click the ones to remove. Selecting
visually rather than by number matters most where deletion matters most —
double-sided scans, where the blank pages are every second sheet and the page
numbers of the blanks are not something anybody wants to work out.
Select as many as you like and remove them in one pass; there is no need to
repeat the operation per page. Nothing is applied until you export, so you can
change your mind about a page before committing.
Your original is safe
DesiDocs works on an uploaded copy and hands you a new file. The document on
your computer is not touched, which is the safety net worth relying on: if you
remove a page you needed, go back to the original and start again.
Do keep that original until you have checked the output, particularly when
removing an internal annexure before sending a document outward. Deleting a page
removes it from the file completely — this is not hiding, and the content does
not survive in the new PDF.
