Every form that asks you to upload proof wants a PDF, and what you have is four
photos in your gallery. Sending images separately looks unprofessional, risks
one going missing, and often is not accepted at all. JPG to PDF turns the photos
into one document, in the order you choose.
Several images, one file, your order
Add JPG, PNG and other common image formats together and arrange them before
converting. The sequence you set is the page order you get, which is the thing
to get right when the images are a multi-page document photographed sheet by
sheet — a rental agreement, a set of mark sheets, both sides of an ID.
Each image becomes one page sized to fit it, so a portrait photo produces a
portrait page and a landscape one a landscape page. Nothing is stretched to a
uniform shape, because stretching a document photo makes the text look wrong.
Quality is preserved
Your images are placed into the PDF at their existing resolution. There is no
downscaling and no additional compression, so a 12-megapixel phone photo goes in
as a 12-megapixel photo and the text in it stays exactly as legible as it was.
The natural consequence is size: photo-based PDFs are large, because photographs
are large. If the result is above an upload limit, run it through
Compress PDF afterwards at Medium — that recompresses the images
while leaving everything else alone.
Getting a readable result out of a phone
Since the PDF can only be as good as the photograph: shoot in even light with no
shadow across the page, get square above the document rather than at an angle,
and fill the frame with the sheet. If there is desk around the edges,
Crop PDF will trim it after conversion. A scan is worth it for
anything official, but a carefully taken photo is accepted almost everywhere.
